Maureen is the founding Creative Director of The Players' Tribune, a sports media website created by Derek Jeter. Prior to that she was a picture editor at Sports Illustrated magazine. She began her career as a freelance photojournalist working for newspapers.
She graduated from Syracuse University's Newhouse School with a degree in Photojournalism and received her Masters in Journalism from Columbia University. She has taken continuing education courses at Stanford University and the International Center of Photography. She is the recipient of two Picture of the Year Awards in editing and 4 Society of Professional Design awards.
A visiting professor at Syracuse, Maureen was also a faculty member of the Rich Clarkson Sports Photography Workshop and a producer at the Eddie Adams Photography workshop.
Maureen currently splits her time between Vancouver, BC and NYC with her husband and 4 small children, who are very tolerant of her using their bathroom as a B&W darkroom.
